The Mudsharks 3 came together in 2005, and released their debut CD, “Mastication”, in the following year. Blending rock, blues, and country, the 13 tracks were a genre-defying glimpse of some truly organic chemistry as a band. The strong song writing and unique sound of the trio led to the inclusion of songs in two extreme mountain biking film sound tracks.(“North Shore Extreme 9“, and “The Last Digg”).
Successful live shows followed, and the group also went to work in the studio to flesh out new material. They enlisted the services of producer Kevin Kowal from FaderMaster Studios, and in 2010, released their sophomore CD entitled, “The Horse You Rode In On”. This 14 song collection showcases the band’s country rock / alt. country flavors, and accurately depicts the evolution and growth of their one of a kind sound.
With the help of Jeff Bonner from Tractorgrease Multimedia, The Mudsharks 3 shot a video for the song, “Off The Wagon”, in December. They were also featured in an episode of “STIR”, a Shaw Cable production that showcases local talent in the Chilliwack area.
