No Mothers
"the one and only stereo viola folk rock band"
Whether as a duo or fully deployed as a four-piece band, No Mothers is a high-energy spectacle that will have you clapping, stomping, and singing along as if every show might be the one that ends the world.
Leah Barley
Vancouver based bluesy-folk singer/songwriter Leah Barley recently released her third EP “Come Home” in September 2016 after yet another successful crowd funding campaign.
This self-taught vocalist, banjo, and guitar player started her interest in the stage at a young age. Dancing and acting since grade school, Leah fell in love with Blue Grass and Old Time Country once she moved to Alberta in her early twenties.
She bought herself a banjo and was writing and performing within two months.
Since then Leah has toured throughout parts of Canada, performed at CBC Music Vancouver, and even at the Whiskey a Go Go and Hotel Café in L.A (with the Wayward Hearts).
Either solo or accompanied by her backing band; outstandingly talented violist John Kastelic and multi-instrumentalist Ross Christopher Fairbairn, Leah brings a raw and dynamic performance.
