Take inspiration from classic folk and country, add a strong sense of storytelling and mix it all into an old oak barrel and let it age for just long enough to add some bite to it.
That is... The Tired Sunday Choir.
Fueled by Whiskey, a couple guitars and a copy of John Prine’s Sweet Revenge, the idea for “The Tired Sunday Choir” was born in 2011. Initially “The Choir” was just an excuse for Jay Gavin and Jesse Brint to drink some beers and play some country/folk songs in the park every once in while, but somewhere along the lines things started to shift towards a more serious project and the groundwork for the "Spirits - EP" was born.
Just as Bourbon takes a couple years to age, so did "The Choir", half a dozen jam rooms and dozens of musicians later "The Tired Sunday Choir" has found a unique folk sound in a fragile world of mirrors.
