Named by CBC radio as “one of 30 hot classical musicians to watch”, accordionist Michael Bridge will appear in concert along with Kornel Wolak on Clarinet at MCA auditorium on March 8th.
Michael is currently working on his doctorate at the University of Toronto and in December was featured in a one hour special on CBC radio.
The duo will be accompanied by the Abbotsford Youth Orchestra and will perform favourite classics such as “Czardas” by Monti, “Tico-Tico” by De Abreu, “Por Una Cabeza” by Gardel, the delightful “Theme and Variations" by Rossini, and the virtuosic “Suite LatinoAmericana” by Duran.
In addition, Calvin Dyck and Christine Lin will be featured in the Double Violin Concerto in A minor by Vivaldi. Below are some clips of Michael Bridge and Kornel Wolak:
